Dodger Stadium Information

The Los Angeles Dodgers play their home games at Dodger Stadium located at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90012, and have since 1962. From most of the 56,000 seats in the stadium, you have excellent views of the San Gabriel Mountains and downtown Los Angeles, and in 2003, a new scoreboard and revamped control room were added to the stadium. In a poll conducted in Sports Illustrated in 2003, 23.2% of players rated the field at Dodger Stadium the best in the major leagues, more than doubling the votes received by the second place field. In 42 years, the Dodgers have a .569 winning percentage, and these winning teams have brought more than 115 million fans to Dodger Stadium.

Dodger Stadium has also witnessed the 1980 all-star game, eight World Series, and four world championships for the hometown Dodgers. In its earlier days, like many other stadiums, Dodger Stadium played host to boxing, basketball, and religious events, and it was even the site of a ski jumping show. Many concerts have taken place at Dodger Stadium over the years, and even a Harlem Globetrotters basketball game was played here. The Los Angeles (now Anaheim) Angels also played their home games at Dodger Stadium for a four year period in the 1960s.
